Accessibility

The Cintas Center exceeds all service and structural requirements stipulated by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Cintas Center offers 104 wheelchair-accessible seats with accompanying companion chairs.

Entry to the accessible seating area is available at gate 8A on the east concourse (via switchback ramp) or at gate 7 on the west concourse (via wheelchair lift).

The Cintas Center is happy to make arrangements with guests in need of assistance when accessing arena parking areas or seating. For all arena events, a drop-off/pick-up area is available at the main (south) entrance of the Cintas Center. Upon arrival, guests are encouraged to speak with a parking attendant regarding drop off and pick up of guests. Guest services personnel are on hand to assist guests with wheelchairs or provide wheelchairs to guests upon request.

The Cintas Center ticket office can exchange regular tickets for seats in the arena’s accessible area. Exchanges can be made on the day of the event, but guests are encouraged to call ahead at 513 745-3411 in order to ensure availability of accessible seating.

Guests in need of additional assistance at any event should stop by the guest services booth located inside the main entrance of the Cintas Center. Guests are also encouraged to call the events coordinator at 513 745-3989 for special arrangements in advance of the event.

Automatic doors are located at both the main (south) entrance and the Schiff Conference and Banquet Center (east) entrance.

All concession stands, restrooms and drinking fountains are wheelchair accessible.

The TriHealth first aid station (located on the west concourse beyond gate 17) is staffed by medical personnel during all arena events.

Alcohol

Alcohol is served during all Xavier men’s and women’s basketball games and volleyball games (with the exception of NCAA Tournament games). Alcohol will not be served during select special events such as high school basketball games, graduations and concerts at which the majority of guests are under age 21.

Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages into the Cintas Center nor take alcohol from the facility.

During events at which alcohol is served, each guest with a valid ID will be able to purchase a maximum of two drinks at any one time. Concessions staff are instructed to request ID from any guest appearing to be 35 years old or younger.

The Cintas Center reserves the right to refuse sale of alcohol to any person for any reason. The Cintas Center also reserves the right to cut off alcohol sales at any time. Guests are encouraged to drink responsibly.

The Cintas Center welcomes assistance animals. No other animals are permitted inside the Cintas Center.

Autographs

The Cintas Center cannot guarantee autograph opportunities will be available for all arena events. During women’s basketball and volleyball games, designated autograph sessions will take place. Announcements will be made during these games pertaining to the time and location of autograph sessions.

ATM Machines

The Cintas Center has two ATM machines for your convenience. An ATM is located just inside the main entrance next to the event ticketing office. Another machine is located just inside the east entrance on the fourth level of the arena.

B

Baby Changing Stations

Baby changing stations are available inside all restrooms at the Cintas Center.

Bags and Backpacks

Large bags and backpacks are not permitted to be brought into the Cintas Center. All bags are subject to search prior to entering the arena.

Balloons

Balloons are not permitted to be brought into the Cintas Center.

Banners and Signs

All banners and signs require approval of Cintas Center staff. The Cintas Center reserves the right to confiscate any sign or banner deemed inappropriate.

Birthday Announcements

Commemorate the special day by wishing that special person a “Happy Birthday” at a Xavier Basketball game. Birthday names will be displayed on the main videoboard as their names are announced by our Public Announcer. The X Band will also recognize our birthday celebrations with the playing a special birthday song! The cost is $25 and proceeds benefit the X Band.

Bottles and Cans

Bottles and cans are not permitted to be brought into the Cintas Center.

Bookstore

The main bookstore is located on the first floor of the Gallagher Student Center. Hours may vary so please call the bookstore at 513 745-3311.

The X Store, located at the south entrance of the Cintas Center is open during all men’s and women’s basketball games and during other select special events.

Cameras

For Xavier athletic events, cameras without flash are permitted. Cameras with professional scopes and/or lenses are prohibited without prior approval or media credentials. During select special events (such as concerts) all cameras may be prohibited.

At events where cameras are allowed, guests are not permitted to stand in aisles or obstruct the view of others while taking pictures. Tripods may be used as long as they are away from the seating areas and do not obstruct the view and/or path of other guests.

As a general rule, video recording is prohibited inside the Cintas Center. Exceptions may be made during select events such as high school graduations. Special arrangements for video taping require prior Cintas Center approval. Guests are encouraged to call the Cintas Center offices at 513-745-3900 or email them at cintascenter@xavier.edu for video recording guidelines.

Car Trouble

If you are locked out or need a jump start after an event, the Xavier University campus police can help. Contact a guest services representative or campus police officer for assistance. Campus police can be reached at 513-745-2000.

Concessions

Chartwells is the exclusive concessions and catering provider at the Cintas Center. In addition to providing the standard arena fare such as hot dogs, pizza, popcorn and nachos, Chartwells handles campus dining services and catering for all special events, banquets and conferences at the Cintas Center.

Cintas Center concession stands are staffed by non-profit organizations for fundraising opportunities. Duff’s

Duff’s is a pre-game bar/lounge area (located in the banquet room area of the Schiff Conference and Banquet Center) open to premium season ticket holders prior to tip-off of men’s basketball games. Duff’s offers premium food and beverage service as well as a big-screen monitor to watch Xavier highlights and other sports. Duff’s closes at tip-off of basketball games. Ejection Policy

It may be necessary for Cintas Center staff to eject a guest from the facility. Guests may be ejected for any of the following reasons, including but not limited to: public intoxication, disruptive behavior, obscene or abusive language, obstructing an event’s progress or interfering with game play, breaking the law, continually disregarding Cintas Center policies or ignoring the instructions of Cintas Center staff, or for any action that, in the opinion of Cintas Center staff, jeopardizes the safety of other guests, event participants or staff, or detracts from the overall enjoyment of an event.

Elevators

An elevator is located on the east side of the Cintas Center that provides access to the Main Concourse (3rd level), Conference Level (4th level) and Upper Arena (5th Level). An additional elevator near the west entrance provides access between the Event Level (1st level), Main Concourse (3rd level), Conference Level (4th level) and Upper Arena (5th Level).

First Aid

Medical personal are on duty for all games and events. Should you need medical attention, please refer to the nearest directional signage for the TriHealth First Aid office located on the west concourse of the Cintas Center beyond gate 17 or ask any member of the Guest Services staff members.

Emergency calls should be directed to campus police at 513-745-1000.

Gates

  • For women’s basketball and volleyball games, gates open 60 minutes prior to game time.
  • For men’s basketball games, gates open 90 minutes prior to game time.
  • For non-Xavier events, gate times vary from 60 to 90 minutes in advance subject to projected attendance and life safety regulations.

Guest Services

The Guest Services desk is located inside the main entrance on the south side of the Cintas Center. A guest services representative is on hand to assist with lost and found items, wheelchair and seating accessibility, taxi service or any special requests and accommodations.

Hall of Fame

The P. Douglas O’Keefe Athletics Hall of Fame is located on the west concourse of the Cintas Center. The hall of fame includes memorabilia and historic pieces from Xavier’s basketball, football, volleyball and Olympic sports teams. The hall of fame also features a video highlighting the history and tradition of Xavier athletics.

The hall of fame is open during all Xavier athletic events. Special arrangements can be made to view the exhibits at other times by calling 513 745-3900.

House Rules

The following house rules apply to all events held in the Cintas Center:

  • Inside the facility, guests agree to abide by the lawful directions given to them by authorized Cintas Center representatives.
  • No smoking is permitted inside the facility.
  • Guests may not bring any food or beverage into the facility nor take alcoholic beverages from the Cintas Center.
  • No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted inside the facility.
  • Guests may not bring laser pens, air horns or any other type of amplification device or pyrotechnic device into the facility.
  • No illegal drugs or other contraband are permitted in the facility.
  • All bags are subject to search.
  • Audio/visual taping and photography require approval from the appropriate Cintas Center representative.
  • Balloons are not permitted to be brought into the facility.

Joseph Club

The Joseph Club is a lounge/bar area (just inside the front entrance to the Cintas Center) open to club-level season ticket holders during men’s basketball games. The Joseph Club is open 90 minutes prior to men’s basketball games and one hour afterward. The Joseph Club offers premium food and beverage service to guests.

Lactation Space

The Cintas Center has a dedicated Mamava lactation space located outside the west doors of the James and Caroline Duff Banquet Center past the staircase and adjacent to the west elevator. For specific instructions on location or access call Cintas Center offices at 513-745-3900 or email them at cintascenter@xavier.edu.

Return all lost and found items to the guest services booth. If possible identify the location where the item was found. Guests may inquiring about lost and found items at the Guest Services Booth at the south entrance to the Cintas Center during the event. Parking

  • Parking Spaces: The Cintas Center features 2,150 spaces around the building with another 1,200 spaces within a short walking distance.
  • Accessible Parking: Parking is available to guests with disabilities with the appropriate hangtag or license plate on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are 30 marked spaces in the lots surrounding the Cintas Center. Additionally, for all medium and major events, an additional 30-100 spaces are made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. These additional spaces are close to the main (south) entrance and do not involve stairs for access to the building. These spaces are clearly marked with signage that has the international disability symbol and the phrase “event only.”
  • Maps: For additional information, please refer to the parking maps at www.cintascenter.com or see a guest services representative.
  • Parking Fees: There are parking fee associated with certain events at the Cintas Center. The amount varies based on the event occurring.
  • Permits: On men’s basketball game days, all Cintas Center on-site parking is by permit only. Free, non-permit parking is available at any of the nearby off-site lots. For all smaller events, Cintas Center lots are available to all event attendees on a non-permit, first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Limousines: and buses Limousines and buses should drop off and pick up at the main (south) entrance. Parking attendants will then direct limo and bus drives to parking spaces (if available).

Petitions, leaflets and soliciting

Distribution of leaflets, brochures or advertising material requires prior approval by the Cintas Center director. Those involved in solicitation without consent of the Cintas Center may be escorted off campus.

Schiff Conference and Banquet Center

The Schiff Conference and Banquet Center comprises a 7,700-square-foot conference facility (with various configurations for business meetings and seminars), and the James and Caroline Duff Banquet Center, a 700-seat facility with configurations for a wide variety of social events.

The Schiff Conference and Banquet Center, which includes full-time event planning and catering staffs, has hosted thousands of events since opening in the fall of 2000. Smoking

Effective July 1, 2019, the use of any tobacco product and/or nicotine delivery system in any form, excluding FDA approved cessation medication, is prohibited in all Xavier University facilities and on all Xavier University owned or leased property, except for property owned and leased to another, such as University Station. This includes personal vehicles parked on Xavier owned or leased property, except for property owned and leased to another.

The sale of tobacco products; nicotine delivery systems, excluding FDA approved cessation medication; and tobacco and nicotine related merchandise (including items that display company logos) is prohibited in and on all university owned or leased property, except for property owned and leased to another, and at all university sponsored events, regardless of the vendor.

The free distribution or sampling of tobacco products; nicotine delivery systems, excluding FDA approved cessation medication; and associated products is prohibited on all university owned or leased property, except for owned property that is leased to another, and at university sponsored events, regardless of venue.

Tobacco and nicotine delivery industry and related company sponsorships of campus events is prohibited.

Seat Numbering System

  • If you are looking down at a particular section from the top of the section, seats are numbered right to left starting with 1.
  • If you are looking up at a particular section from the bottom of the section, seats are numbered left to right starting with 1.
  • All even numbered gates, sections and suites are located on the east side of the concourse.
  • All odd numbered gates, sections and suites are located on the west side of the concourse.

Suites

The Cintas Center’s 22 luxury suites are located on the main concourse of the arena (level 3). Each suite is equipped with private restroom facilities, a kitchen area with a sink and refrigerator, high-top bar space and theater-style seating.

Guests can easily be picked up at the Cintas Center from either the south or east entrances. The drop-off/pick-up circle in front of the Cintas Center is an ideal pick up point for taxis.

Children age 2 and under do not require a ticket for admission to the Cintas Center.

Wheelchairs

Guests in need of a wheelchair should stop by the guest services booth at the main entrance of the Cintas Center for assistance. Any guest services staff member will also be happy to assist with wheelchair transport and access.

Will Call

Guests are welcome to drop off or pick up tickets at the main ticket office on the east side of the arena during regular business hours. Will call is also available at the event ticketing office at the main entrance of the arena during events. A valid ID is required to pick up will call tickets.
